Camping In Clare

Clare is not only a fascinating landscape to explore but the laid back vibe coupled with the authentic Irish places to discover here makes for a truly enjoyable family break.  Doolin has the be one of the most picturesque, friendly and relaxed spots for family breaks Clare so we took a short trip for a weekend break and where better to stay than Nagles Camping & Caravan Park looking out across the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands Nagles4beyond. Nagles, one of the top family friendly camping sites in Clare is located down by the pier and it was lovely to take a walk out every morning to see the hustle and bustle at the pier while the ferries set sail or arrived for The Aran Islands and glimpse across at the Cliffs of Moher in all their splendor. There is a very busy pitch and putt course across the road which is open to locals and tourist alike.

Family Breaks Clare

family restaurant doolinGus O’Connors is a spacious and open bar with all the nooks and crannies of a traditional Irish pub. It is bright and airy and the atmosphere is electric. The music will start early on the day so if you wish to pop in for lunch or dinner there is no difference. It is not only the most popular places to eat in Doolin area but also offers the best in Irish cuisine and a truly authentic experience.

Aillwee Caves 1No trip to Clare can be complete without going to see Ireland’s premier show cave, The Aillwee Caves. The caves are renowned as one of the top things to do with the kids in Clare and it is easy to see why. When planning a visit to the caves, be sure to put aside a full day as there is much more than a cave to see here.

Some other great days out in Clare include The Cliffs Of Moher, Doolin Caves and a trip to The Aran Islands!
