Windsurfing lessons are available in front of our activities centre on Ballinskelligs beach. Classes are small with our instructors only taking 2 people at a time. This ensures that you will get a very personalised lesson and with our instructors constantly monitoring each lesson from the rescue boat and this ensures that you will be flying in no time! Kayaks in Kerry
Sea kayaks are available for rent on Ballinskelligs beach. these are ideal for exploring the shore and coast line around the area and give a completely different view of Ballinskelligs. There is a rich variety of sea life to see in Ballinskelligs bay. From early on in June schools of bottlenose and common dolphins can be seen feeding in the water surrounding the beach. Grey seals can be seen basking on the harbour rocksand and there is a huge variety of sea birds which come in from the Skellig rocks.
We have two types of kayaks available to rent – singles and duos (these can take up to 3 people). All our kayaks are ‘sit on top’ boats which means complete beginners can easily master them. Kayaking in the bay is very safe as it is sheltered from the sea and has plenty of nooks and crannies for exploring!
Our Kid’s Summer Camps are all about having fun at the beach. While there will be loads of activities we overall ocean safety and marine education will be a very important part of our camps.
