Things to do in Clare
Aillwee Caves & Birds of Prey Centre have a long reputation as number one for Things to do in Clare and it’s easy to see why! Explore life underground in one of Ireland’s most fascinating caves, Aillwee Cave, in the mystical Burren area of north County Clare. While you’re there, see majestic birds of prey up close in the Birds of Prey Centre.
Take a 35 minute tour under the Burren through 1km of caverns, bridged chasms, beneath unusual rock formations and ending beside a thunderous waterfall.
Afterwards, watch the flying demonstration of the largest display of eagles, falcons, hawks, owls and vultures in the country at the Burren Birds of Prey Centre, or book the separate hour long Halk Walk through the hazel woodland with an experienced falconer.
Finish your visit with a walk along the Aillwee Burren hillside with panoramic views of Galway Bay and the Wild Atlantic Way, or stop by the farm shop for wonderful local produce.
