Christmas Pantos 2022

Your Christmas Panto  2022 Guide

A good panto is for life, not just for Christmas as it is one Christmas Traditions that everyone in the family can’t but love and children recall over and over for many years to come. This year we are once agian spoilt for choice when it comes to Christmas Pantos 2022 but here are some of my favourite pantos that have never failed to delight. Everyone wants a bit of magic for Christmas and nothing brings the magic like a good auld Panto full of belly aching quips, high energy routines and modern twist on a traditional fairytale. One thing I luckily discovered when my first was very young is they are never too young (or too old) for Panto and I just hope we will still be all going together when they are in their twenties!

Thankfully many of our favourite theatres are back to normal so we can enjoy Christmas Pantos again. Therefore, here is our Guide for Christmas Pantos 2022.

Christmas pantos Cork

Cinderella, The Everyman Palace, Cork

And just like that, with a Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, Cork’s favourite traditional family Panto is back! Oh, yes it is! This year’s Panto Cinderella is the wonderful tale of a girl with a dream, a spell that’s broken at midnight and a fairy godmother, all with a modern Panto twist! It will be like a wonderful dream come true – so don’t delay, the ball can’t wait, you’re invited to get your tickets and be on your way!

The Jungle Book, The Gaiety Theatre, Dublin

Forget about your worries and your strife as we bring you this year’s Gaiety Pantomime, ‘The Jungle Book’.

Join a tropical adventure with Mowgli, the man-child, as he swings and sings his way through this jungle journey. Filled with Panto monkey-business and hiss-sterical shenanigans, meeting all your favourite jungle friends along the way, plus a few familiar animal crackers.

This is no ordinary Panto….. It’s the Gaiety Panto!!!!

Peter Pan, University Concert Hall, Limerick

University Concert Hall and Robert C Kelly are delighted to announce the 2022 UCH Panto which will be the iconic, flyaway fairy-tale, Peter Pan! Join the boy (Johnny Ward, Fair City favourite, current RTÉ One’s Hell Week Special Forces contestant and grand finalist of RTÉ’s 2019 Dancing with the Stars) who never grew up, together with his friends Wendy and tiny Tinkerbell, as they travel to Never Never Land to take on the hilariously horrible Captain Hook and his band of (pretty useless!) pirates!
